The "H" Family

I couldn't believe how much these kiddos had grown in a year and a half!  This is such a fun, easy going family to work with.  So easy to feel relaxed and natural with them.  (And I loved the colors they went with so much, I stole the idea for my own fam's photos!)
From July 2012:

"P" Family 2012

I was nervous for this photo session...for some reason the family just keeps growing and trying to get a nice photo with everyone looking seemed impossible (oh, and having to hand off the hungry/tired 2 mo. old baby upped the difficulty level, too)! And truthfully, it was.  I actually taught myself a LOT about photoshop thanks to this top picture.  I had to replace my whole little family from 2 different pictures to get this final one!

Thankfully, even though it was a super bright early June day and lighting wouldn't be perfect, I knew we had this great big willow tree to work with.  It worked great!

J&M Engagements

We had a perfect day to do my little bro's engagement pics. These two are awesome and I'm so excited for them! We also got to be the last to use this location for pictures, b/c a much bigger, well-known local photographer is buying the rights to use this property exclusively for photos.
I learned two things from this session:
1)This was my first ever engagement session, and having two people as the subject of the photo threw me for the bit. I really had to concentrate on composition, which slowly improved through the shoot.
2) Doing a photo session at 8 months preggo is hard!  Not just trying to squat into a good position, but using my preggo brain to think was interesting...

Congrats J&M!

The "D" Fam

The "D" Family was my first photo guinea pigs outside of my own family.  I can't believe how much they've grown in a year & a half!  We managed to have a 45 degree day four days after Christmas for our shoot! Couldn't have been more perfect at all.

Redd Family

I really gave myself a challenge this time....my own family's photos!!   I was smart enough to bring along my sister to snap the picture once I got it set up so I didn't have to use my camera's timer; we never would have got a family shot otherwise.  I hope everyone enjoys these pictures, they were extremely hard to get! I can easily say that my own children are the naughtiest children I've ever taken pictures of!
